Piano Lessons

If you choose not to use software to learn piano, piano teachers are probably your next step.

Piano teachers usually specialise in grade ranges. For example, piano teachers who teach beginners will teach piano from grade 1 to grade 6. Likewise a piano teacher of a higher skill level will not teach piano to those who are just learning.

Piano teachers of such will only teach piano to students who are already well established and teach piano further.

Nothing beats old fashion one-to-one piano teachers simply because you receive their full attention and piano teachers will adapt to your learning speed. A good piano teacher should inspire you to learn piano in your own time and not just whilst they are teaching you piano.

Most piano teachers follow the rule book however and will teach you a lot of piano theory before you ever get to touch the piano.

For beginners piano lessons will usually last for about half and hour up to about an hour depending on your skill level and how much your piano teacher insists you should learn. It is no susprise that a highly skilled piano teacher will want his or her students to learn piano for four hours a day even more!

Piano teachers can charge $20 upwards for a half hour piano lesson but your time will fly by so it's always best to ask your piano teacher what you want to learn or how to improve on anything which you are struggling with before going to a piano lesson. Doing this ensures you get the most out of every piano lesson and your piano teacher will be happy that you're taken the initiative.
